Sniper & DMR buying guide

Choosing a gel blaster sniper rifle

CyberTrigger's current sniper collection consists of electric AEGs with M110, 417 and DMR-style bodies. Choose by the rifle's shape, weight, materials and handling, then compare its internal configuration and the accessories you want to fit.

Start with the shape and handling

A long rifle can look right in photos but feel quite different once you shoulder it. Compare the stock position, front-end weight and space for accessories before choosing.

Full-length M110

Choose the M110 for a traditional sniper-style profile: long quad-rail handguard, fixed stock and a substantial metal build. The current model weighs approximately 3 kg and has a large stock compartment for the battery.

M110K1 and M110K3

These suit a shorter, more modern DMR look. Compare the K1's URX 3.1-style handguard with the K3's URX4-style front end. The current K3 Ultra Line model has an adjustable stock, a listed weight of 2.8 kg and a length of 91–99 cm.

PredatOBR-style

The elongated handguard cut-outs and removable rail sections give this build a different appearance. The current electric model is listed at 98–106 cm and approximately 3 kg, with an adjustable stock and a 210-round magazine.

417 family — 201, 202, 203 and 204

The 201 is the 417A1, 202 is the 417A2, 203 is the M110A1 and 204 is the G28. Our current online options are the 202 417A2 and 203 M110A1 Ultra Line AEGs. Both use a V2.5 metal gearbox and programmable MOSFET; choose between them by the profile, weight and setup you prefer.

202 — 417A2

The shorter 417 build, listed at 83–91 cm and approximately 3.4 kg. Its low-profile handguard and adjustable stock suit a battle-rifle appearance or a scope-and-bipod DMR setup. The current model is A$899.

203 — 417 M110A1

The longer DMR-style option, listed at 92–100 cm and approximately 3.5 kg, with an adjustable E1-style stock and ambidextrous controls. The current model is A$899 and uses a 150-round magazine.

What affects performance?

Trajectory and consistency

A longer outer barrel or sniper-shaped body does not establish the rifle's effective range. Compare the actual FPS, inner barrel, hop-up and compression setup. Gel quality and preparation also matter when assessing how consistently the rifle shoots.

Internal configuration

Compare the gearbox, motor, gears, piston and compression parts for performance and durability. Several current E&C models use an extended V2.5 system; selected Ultra Line versions also include reinforced components and programmable MOSFET control.

Materials and weight

The current metal/alloy builds use polymer grips and stocks. That gives them substantial weight, so try the balance in person. Price differences can also reflect the internal configuration, electronics and included accessories, rather than the exterior alone.

Building for a particular field? Bring its FPS and firing-mode requirements when discussing upgrades with us. We can help choose a setup around the way you intend to play.

Scope and mount

A scope can help you see the target and complete the DMR appearance. Choose useful magnification and comfortable eye relief, then check the scope tube, mount height and rail fit. A scope itself does not increase firing range.

Bipod and support

A bipod supports the front of the rifle when shooting from a suitable surface. Check whether the handguard needs a Picatinny or other mounting adapter, and check the package contents before buying one separately.

Cyber Custom upgrades

We can assess hop-up and trajectory, muzzle velocity, rate of fire, trigger response and durability. We can also help match scopes, red dots, lights and foregrips to the appearance and handling you prefer.

What you need to get started

An electric gel blaster needs a compatible battery, a suitable charger and hydrated gel balls. The battery and charger can be reused. A speed loader is optional; scopes and bipods depend on your preferred setup and what the individual package includes.

Gel blaster sniper rifle questions

Are these sniper gel blasters bolt-action or electric?

The models currently offered in this collection are electric AEGs. They use a rechargeable battery, motor and gearbox, rather than requiring you to pull a bolt before every shot. Check each model's listed firing modes when choosing.

What is a DMR-style gel blaster?

DMR means designated marksman rifle. In this collection, it describes the larger M110, 417 and PredatOBR-style bodies, commonly paired with a scope or bipod. The DMR appearance does not by itself guarantee greater accuracy or range.

How far can these gel blaster sniper rifles shoot?

The detailed 417A2, M110A1, M110K3 and PredatOBR product listings quote an approximate effective distance of 30–40 metres. Actual results depend on the particular rifle, hop-up, gel quality and setup. Check the individual product specifications rather than choosing by outer-barrel length alone.

Do I need a scope and bipod?

No. They are optional accessories. A scope helps with viewing and aiming, while a bipod provides support from a suitable surface. Check the package contents because some current models include a bipod; neither accessory increases the rifle's firing range on its own.

What battery and gel balls should I choose?

Match the battery to the rifle's connector and available stock space. These M110-family models may use Deans or Tamiya connections and can use 7.4V or 11.1V batteries. Use a suitable charger for the battery type. For higher-FPS rifles we recommend hard gels; CyberTrigger's gel ball range consists of selected high-quality hard gels.

What else should I buy with an electric sniper gel blaster?

Check the package, then add any missing battery and charger plus hydrated gel balls. You can reuse the battery and charger. A speed loader is optional and makes magazine loading easier. Choose a scope, mount or bipod separately if you want them.

Can Cyber Custom build or upgrade my sniper-style rifle?

Yes. Tell us what you want to improve: a straighter trajectory with hop-up, muzzle velocity, rate of fire, trigger response or durability. We can inspect the rifle and discuss compatible internal upgrades, then help with the external build using optics, lights, foregrips and other attachments.

Can I compare these rifles at your QLD physical shop?

Yes. Visit CyberTrigger's QLD physical shop in Arundel to check local stock and compare length, weight and balance. The Cyber Custom workshop can also help match batteries and accessories or discuss an upgrade plan.
