ACX buying guide

Choosing an ACX gel blaster

The ACX range gives you a modern metal rifle shape in several lengths and configurations. Start with the body and stock style you like, then decide how much electronic control, trigger response and rate of fire you want from the internal setup.

Which ACX shape suits you?

Look at overall length, handguard space, stock adjustment and balance. The size in a model name is not its overall length; use the individual specifications when comparing.

ACX Virtus

The Virtus has a longer rifle profile with an M-LOK handguard and ambidextrous controls. The Standard version starts at A$749. The grey Ultra Line version is A$799 and adds reinforced internals, programmable MOSFET control and magazine priming.

ACX Rattler — Ultra Line

This A$899 build has a CNC-machined aluminium-alloy exterior, a folding stock and a reinforced Ultra Line gearbox with programmable electronic trigger control. Black, grey and tan variants are currently listed.

View the Rattler Ultra Line

ACX Rattler LT — 6.75″ and 7.75″

Choose these for a compact front end. The 6.75″ Ultra Line is listed at 63 cm overall, while the 7.75″ Ultra Line is 65.5 cm. Both are A$849; the 7.75″ Ultra Plus adds a brushless motor and Bluetooth electronic control.

ACX Spear LT — 9″ and 11.5″

The longer M-LOK handguards offer more space for your preferred external setup. The current 9″ model is A$849 and the 11.5″ model is A$899. Both list a weight of approximately 2.7 kg and an Ultra Line internal system.

Standard, Ultra Line or Ultra Plus?

Standard Virtus

The Standard Virtus uses a metal V2 front-wired gearbox, Tamiya battery connector and safe, semi and full-auto modes. It is the lowest-priced ACX option in the current range. Its listing does not specify a programmable MOSFET or magazine priming.

Ultra Line

Ultra Line adds a metal piston rack, reinforced gears and upgraded compression components for performance and durability. The specified Virtus, Rattler LT and Spear LT models use an Eshooter V2 Basic programmable MOSFET for electronic trigger control. V2 Basic does not provide Bluetooth App control.

Ultra Plus

The 7.75″ Ultra Plus adds a 35K brushless motor, carbon steel gears and an Eshooter Bluetooth V2 SE MOSFET with App tuning support. Its listed output is 300 FPS and 29 RPS with a fully charged 11.1V LiPo battery.

View the Ultra Plus

Comparing the two 7.75″ models? The A$849 Ultra Line lists 320 FPS and 19 RPS, while the A$1,190 Ultra Plus lists 300 FPS and 29 RPS under its stated battery conditions. The price increase buys a different motor, electronics and reinforced internal configuration. Choose around the firing response and performance you want.

Check the setup before ordering

Battery space and connector

Many current ACX models are front-wired. Battery dimensions and space around the handguard matter as well as the connector. Standard Virtus uses Tamiya; the specified Rattler LT, Spear LT and grey Virtus Ultra Line models use Deans. Check the exact model before buying a battery.

Metal build and stock style

Compare the receiver, handguard, controls and stock together. Current builds use metal/alloy construction, with polymer grips and, on some models, polymer stocks. Folding and adjustable stock arrangements differ, so choose the configuration that feels comfortable when shouldered.

Attachments and workshop

We can help match a red dot, light or foregrip to your ACX. Cyber Custom can also assess hop-up and trajectory, muzzle velocity, rate of fire, trigger response and durability, then plan compatible parts around your preferred build.

Complete your ACX setup

The detailed Virtus, Rattler LT and Spear LT listings include the blaster and an E&C metal M4 magazine. To use an AEG you also need a compatible battery, suitable charger and hydrated gel balls; check whether gels are included in the individual package. The battery and charger are reusable, and a speed loader is optional.

ACX gel blaster questions

Are ACX gel blasters electric or gas?

All eight ACX listings currently in this collection are electric AEGs made by Apex Force. They use a rechargeable battery, motor and gearbox. Green gas is not required for these models.

How do I choose between Virtus, Rattler, Rattler LT and Spear LT?

Virtus has a longer rifle profile. Rattler offers a compact build with a folding stock, and the 6.75″ and 7.75″ Rattler LT options have compact front ends. Spear LT offers 9″ or 11.5″ handguards. Compare the overall length, stock style, weight and internal configuration, or try them at our QLD physical shop.

What is the difference between ACX Ultra Line and Ultra Plus?

The specified Ultra Line models use reinforced internals and an Eshooter V2 Basic programmable MOSFET. The current 7.75″ Ultra Plus adds a 35K brushless motor, carbon steel gears and an Eshooter Bluetooth V2 SE MOSFET with App tuning. Its listed rate of fire is 29 RPS with a fully charged 11.1V LiPo battery.

Can I control the MOSFET through an App?

The current 7.75″ Ultra Plus specifies Bluetooth App tuning through its Eshooter V2 SE MOSFET. The V2 Basic fitted to the specified Ultra Line models is programmable but does not offer Bluetooth App control. Check the MOSFET named on the product page.

What battery should I use in an ACX gel blaster?

Match the connector, voltage and physical size to the exact model. Standard Virtus lists Tamiya and recommends a 7.4V battery. Several Ultra Line Rattler LT and Spear LT listings recommend a compact 450mAh 11.1V Deans battery. Front wiring means battery space around the handguard needs particular attention.

What FPS can I expect from an ACX?

The models with published FPS specifications currently span approximately 275–340 FPS. For example, Spear LT 9″ lists 275 FPS, Rattler LT 7.75″ Ultra Line lists 320 FPS and Spear LT 11.5″ lists around 340 FPS. Check the exact product; the Standard Virtus listing does not currently publish an FPS figure.

What else do I need to use an ACX AEG?

You need a compatible battery and charger plus hydrated gel balls. The battery and charger can be reused. A speed loader is optional and makes loading easier. Current listings specify an E&C metal M4 magazine; check the model when choosing a spare.

Can Cyber Custom upgrade my ACX?

Yes. Tell us how you want it to perform and feel. We can inspect the rifle and discuss hop-up, muzzle velocity, rate of fire, trigger response and durability, as well as a compatible external build using red dots, lights and foregrips. Visit our QLD physical shop in Arundel to compare local stock and plan the work.
